It started in the Garden of Eden. Mankind, through Adam, chose to lay a foundation for this world that was different from the one God intended. Instead, we laid one that is weak and seriously flawed; based on our own ideas of right and wrong, and what we would decide was best for us. As a result, the world we live in is shaky at best, filled with self-centeredness, hate, anger, pain and suffering to such extent that multitudes have found it intolerable. Those who don't are so steeped in the consuming darkness that they don't see anything wrong with how things are. As soon as the Light Of Truth hits them they either run and hide or lash out at the source.
So many people continually suffer the pains of the overwhelming sins of this world that they can't see any other way to live. We've spent all of man's existence on this earth searching for Truth, hoping it would lead us out of our turmoil, and ultimately give us peace. The problem is that we don't even understand what truth is. Consequently, we've made up our own truth, and have tried to find peace and contentment our own way, by our own efforts, and have failed miserably. Truth, in fact, is that which is revealed from God, given to us through His divinely inspired word, which we call "The Bible", revealed and explained by the Holy Spirit given to those who truly follow Jesus' example and teachings. Unfortunately, we've rejected Truth from the foundation of the world, because Truth was supposed to be
our foundation, but we chose another.
It is with this in mind, that I have decided on the format and presentation of this ministry site. In the past I have always tried to teach principles of truth to refute false beliefs found in the many misconceptions and erroneous teachings of today's Christian churches; teachings which, quite often, are filled with gaps and weak, human ideas. Although I may still pointedly refute some of these errors, I will try to present Truth from the perspective of speaking directly to how we must live our lives to serve the true God who rules over all of creation. What I want to do here is not only correct some common thinking, but also fill in gaps in our understanding.
Presentation
What I intend to present is the truth about who we are, who God is, how we should relate to Him, and how we should relate to each other. I want the Truth of God to not only be accurate, but also complete; not lacking in the information necessary to properly address many of the problems we face in this life we've been given. If my views and opinions differ from yours, I hope you will express them, but also understand that the underlying principle of this site is to guide my readers to the point where we live our lives in such a way that we grow up spiritually, and "come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" {Eph. 4:13}.
This should be our goal as people who claim to be followers of Christ, no matter what deniminational doctrine we tie ourselves to or profess to believe. It all boils down to this... God is not going to ask you which church you went to or how much you volunteered, or how physically successful you were by the standards of this world. What he is looking at is our hearts, and if we are not people after His own heart, then we are not who we should be. This takes more than just following rules, or keeping ourselves busy in church activities. It requires a sincere, heart-felt relationship with the God of the universe; a relationship dedicated to imitating Him and emulating His very nature and character in every way.
Nothing less will do!
